Yeah its supposed to snow all day o.o
Its been 400 years since texas has had 2 consecutive years of snow I've heard o.o
but OMG x.x I have part one of my Japanese final today and I HAVE to go. I'm so scared my mom will ban me from leaving the house and make me fail. She pulled this last year during finals too over rain and I ended up staying home >>
I can completely manage driving in snow .. and besides it never stays !!! I'm stealing my sisters cam for pics tho ! XD

Chuck Close is a photorealist painter that creates paintings that imitate real life. He experiments with CMYK color and has been known to think of paintings in the way of a printer printing a picture. He has also been known to work in black and white using extremely diluted black paint and layering the paint with an airbrush. His paint was so diluted that it is rumored he only used one tube of mars black for 9 large sized black and white paintings. All these paintings are very meticulously detailed and look like an actual photograph. He is most well known for paintings done with small grids with rings of color that from a distance look as realistic as a photograph. Chuck Close suffered a spinal artery collapse on December 7th 1988 which he refers to as “The Event”. Ever since this event he has relied on a wheel chair and continues to paint despite his paralysis by taping a paintbrush to his wrist and painting that way.
    I really admire Chuck Close’s technique when it comes to painting. I remember watching a video on his technique in middle school and being completely astounded that he can make those color grids and know where to place them to create a picture. Even with this technique the paintings continue to appear extremely lifelike and accurate. I also saw in this video how he works with the grids and in a wheelchair also. He has a machine that lowers and lifts the giant canvas so it can be moved to his eye level to make it easier for him to paint. Its amazing that he was able to overcome his disability and continue to do what he loved.
    In Close’s earlier works you can clearly see his understanding of the human face, detail and technique. Upon looking at Close’s painting “The Dali Llama” I was completely unable to tell that it was a painting, at first I didn’t believe it, so I clicked on it to make it larger and even up close you can see every fine like, the pores in the skin, the shine from the oil’s in his skin. His attention to detail is completely amazing and breathtaking. Its amazing that one person can replicate something that accurately.
    In Close’s more recent paintings he’s using the fore mentioned grid system with the loops of color. These paintings vary in their abstract element. They are still extremely detailed and accurate but a lot of times they appear to have a gridded wave effect to them. Some of them also appear more realistic. Lyle a portrait of a young African American boy is one that appears super realistic from far away. As the viewer gets closer they can begin to see the technique appearing. Lucas Woodcut however I believe it was made using a different technique, borders on the more abstract side in my opinion. It feels like more liberties were taken with this piece in order to invoke more of an emotion or a focal point on the man in the center.
    Close is also a photographer and has done many photo shoots featuring popular celebrities such as Kate Moss and Brad Pitt. His photography is very artistic and definitely evokes an emotion in the viewer. 
    I really enjoy looking at Close’s artwork. I’m fascinated with the way he works and I find it amazing that he is still able to work and paint as accurately as he does using a brush taped to his wrist. I can’t even begin to imagine painting without the use of my fingers. Also his knowledge of color and where to place two colors next to each other to create a certain color from far away is amazing. He can use orange next to pink next to brown and have it appear as a skin tone from far away. His realistic pieces can serve as an example of what to be sought after in becoming a realistic artist. Its gorgeous how much detail and accuracy he is able to capture in each painting. He’s able to emulate life in an amazing manner.

Today I trained! For 3 hours ... there are a lot of weird implimincations (is that a word ? please tell me it is ... XD) for working in a public school. You aren't allowed to touch the kids o.o I'm like shocked ... you can only touch arms and shoulders and thats like IT .. anything else can get you a sexual harassment suit filed against you. Its such a different world these days o.o I'm used to preschoolers where they wanna sit in your lap and hug you and get picked up etc. And sometimes thats the only affection those kids get all day T__T its sad.
I hope I'm good at this job... I'm slightly intimidated to be working with older kids in a public school >,<

I found a stray outside my house tonight and after about an hour I kind of love her T___T 
I can't keep her though because I have a dog and even though may is a good dog I can't take the risk of having an accident or the cat getting hurt. Shes a young female with blue eyes and shes a dark grey color on top and white underneath. Shes been hurt or attacked by someone or something and she has a cut on her face and is missing about half of her tail T___T 
Shes a SWEET cat! Shes very affectionate and playful, Shes pretty much starving x.x when I found her she was chasing bugs for food, so i fed her and she had 3 helpings of dog food >> (its all I had x.x ) I REALLY don't want to take her to the SPCA because I fear they will put her down when they get her so if anyone in the houston area wants a cat I really want to give her a good home T__T 
I'm entirely willing to drive her to you even if you're far from me T___T and if you know anyone who would want a cat PLEASE have them contact me, you can even PM me for my cell number I just want to find this sweet kitty a home T___T

This is getting easier the more Kanji I'm forced to learn but hate while learning it.
My dog needs to be washed so bad x.x shes with me and I feel like shes giving me allergies and I dont typically have a problem with her ... I had 60 lb may on my lap (no she doesn't love me that much I had food by me) while I was doing my massive trans post tonight XD my butt is asleep XD 
I got my hair dyed .. its hard to see the color in flourescent light XD but I think its a reddy brown, I think its more brown than red but my mom keeps on going ... its redddd o.o The stylist gave me 3 shampoos free o.o 2 sebastian protein shampoos and another called .. something suede .. suede latte ? and its color depositing to keep my color in ... I can't believe she gave me all that o.o she said she liked me though XD and had fun talking to me and it'd help me save money and my hair o.o She was so nice *__* 
I did not do my illustration homework ... I ughh ... I have to make an album cover based on this exhibit at the menil museum ... my sketch has NOTHING to do with the menil exhibit .. I need to ask her how much I really have to use that in my thing ...
Oh and some idiot threw out my photography work ..... I hate upper level kids who think they have the right to throw out beginner's art.. I don't do that in upper level drawing studio with your work so why do you have to do that in the photography lab with mine.... god people are so disrespectful x.x so now i have to reshoot 2 rolls, develop film, let dry for a day, develop prints, and then let dry for a day .... >> a long process that prob wont be done for critique >>

Okay so I've been "bussing around" a hell of a lot to get from parking lots to classes to the other side of campus etc etc and today I just ... I had the funniest experience EVER on the bus! 
So one of those ladies walks in .. the kind of old lady who has tanned a lot and dyes her hair BRIGHT red and lots of gold jewelry and perfume and shes wearing TINY TINY shorts .. like ... almost vulgar tiny (exercise shorts) and a spaghetti strap tanktop .. and the worse part is shes pushing 60 O___O so theres a nice mental image for ya ;D XDDD 
So that song is on on the bus ... I don't know the name but it goes " Oh what a night, what a lady what a night .." you all know that one ? XD 
and she starts singing it ALL off key .. then she gets louder and starts slappin the beat on the plastic seats and then she asks some kid where the Agnes Arnold hall is and hes trying to explain it to her and she just ... isn't listening and goes " COLLEGE IS REALLLL DIFFERENT FROM WHEN I WENT TO COLLEGE !!! " " YOU ALL HAVE MORE INFORMATION THAT THEY PUT IN YOUR HEADS ! WITH THIS .. TECHNOLOGY AND STUFF " .... and now I'm texting all this to katie in real time and trying SO hard not to loose it because she sounded SO crazed XD 
Then prince comes on the radio and she starts singing the "this is what it sounds like when doves cry" song XD then she stops for about a minute .. and yells " WHAT HAPPENED TO PRINCE !!!!!!!?!?!??!?!?!  " and the bus driver is like ... hes still around ...
Then she just goes  HEY WHITNEY IS BACK ! YOU KNOW THAT !? WHITNEY IS BACK !!!!! 
... then .. she just gets off the bus ... and walks off ....
It was SO funny ...
